Will There Be A New Future For Zinniker Farm?

September 18, 20221 min read

In 1943, Mark’s grandfather moved the family from Glencoe, IL to Elkhorn, WI to begin a new journey as a biodynamic farmer. The Zinniker family farm is the oldest biodynamic farm in America – this is an amazing legacy.  As we approach the 80th year, the Zinniker Family Farm is at a crossroads.

Traditionally, now would be the time that the kids would start taking over the leadership, allowing Mark and Petra to take a more mentorship role. But as the younger generation grows up, they too are at a crossroads, and it is unlikely that they will continue their family legacy.

We are now faced with the real possibility that the Zinniker Family Farm may die out unless we as a community help to make it financially viable.

Family farms all over the country are facing these same issues.

Hazel and I, feel inspired to help create a new future for the Farm.  We hope you will join us; with your help the Zinniker Family Farm will thrive into the future.

If you are ready to open your thinking and roll up your sleeves, please reach out to us.  We would love to hear your ideas.

If you would like to be a Stakeholder Supporter, we have set up a Patreon page -  For the cost of a cup of coffee per a month, you can help make a big difference. https://patreon.com/zinnikerfarm

Please share this initiative with family and friends.

Warmly, Chuck Ginsberg and Hazel Archer
